The camera turned off with the lens still out and every time you turned it on it would just beep and you would be able to hear the cervo's trying to Lens Error Canon S100 Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. If you google "lens error s100" you actually see that this error happens quite a number of times. I am now going to open the camera lens. have a peek at these guys HiI tried all your tips and eventually had no option but to force the lens. Try grabbing and holding the smallest inner lens barrel at its furthest extended position, preventing it from returning to the camera. Heard about this fix from somewhere on the net.
