If the camera is still under warranty, before trying any of these, please please first contact your camera's maker to see if they'll cover the repair, or to determine how much Canon G16 Lens Error I had it fixed and just got it back on saturday. We had them do the servicing for the camera and all they do.
I have a Canon Powershot A560, whose lens wouldn't even BEGIN to open, and it reported "Lens error, restart camera". Search Sony lens error or Casio or any of them, they all come up all over the place yet my guess is there are more Canons out there.
