The lens will not retract into the camera. Some people have luck with removing and replacing the batteries multiple times, so you could try that. I tried all of the above and still nothing :( I'm lost without my Canon Powershot SX120 IS as I never leave the house without it lol I will continue my Canon S110 Lens Error Simply - VERY GENTLY - press down the lens on the side where the gap is the biggest.

the lens wont budge and i dont have a budget to fix this PROBLEM. the motor is loud though, i then polished and oiled the zoom lens cases. i tried all of these but my camera still did not want to work. Look carefully between the lens and the camera body for any sand, dirt or any damaged etc.Try turning the camera with the lens facing down and shake to dislodge anything stuck
